Manhattan and Brooklyn Residential Sales Market Reports June 2018
In Manhattan, listed inventory for condos reached a 12-month high for the third consecutive month, and co-op inventory rose 33% to its highest level for any June since 2012.

During June, strong sales in southern Brooklyn at recently launched sites such as The Jade Condominium and The Arthouse Condominium drove up overall contract activity by 11% compared to June 2017.  Due to the uptick in new development sales in these less-expensive neighborhoods, Brooklyn's price metrics fell compared to last year. Average and median sale price figures fell by 6% and 1%, respectively.  Click here to learn more.

Manhattan and Brooklyn Residential Sales Market Reports Q2 2018

Closed sales declined 14% annually versus Second Quarter 2017. All product types experienced annual decreases in closed sales. Contracts signed declined 9% annually. High levels of supply, hesitancy about future prices and tax consequences continue to affect buyer urgency.

Brooklyn exhibited varied market signals this quarter - as buyers continued to endure supply constraints at lower price points and sellers experienced tempered demand at the high-end. Closed sales reached its second highest figure in a decade, though only half the borough - the less expensive half - experienced increased sales.

Manhattan rents remained relatively stable during the second quarter compared to both Q1 2018 and year-over-year.  However, rents in Brooklyn were up across all categories when comparing both periods .
Dining Out | NY | Midtown West | Saar Indian Bistro
Flavorful fine Indian cuisine from the team who brought us Michelin-starred Tulsi. A tasting menu of cauliflower latkes, salli boti and kulfi was superb accompanied by perfectly matched wines. While a clear choice for pre-theatre or neighborhood dining, Saar is a destination in itself.

The 64-seat Saar, which translates to "essence of something" in Hindi, is styled in pinks and blues after Chef Hemant Mathur's hometown, which is also known as "the pink city."

The menu emphasizes the ever-changing and multi-cultural aspects of India, featuring Parsi and Jewish Indian sub-culture cuisine with starters like cauliflower latkes and Kashmiri gucchi (morel mushroom) truffle risotto.  (Michelin Guide)

I would personally like to thank you for taking the time to view this email.  If you're thinking of buying or selling, you need an agent who knows my hometown of Washington and my adopted home of New York like no one else.  I'm that agent.  It would be my pleasure to assist you with all of your real estate needs.

Sincerely,

Andrea
