The Marcom team recently announced the new web-based, "One Stop Shop", which will serve as the college's new marketing and communications hub. At this time, we would like to collect additional success stories, upcoming events and more that can be used in an upcoming Monday Letter, UKNow, Catalyst Magazine, the website, social media, and more. The more content we have, the more we can share.

CPH Represents at the APHA Annual Meeting & Expo
The APHA's 2021 Annual Meeting and Expo recently took place on Oct. 24-27 with the theme "Creating the Healthiest Nation: Strengthening Social Connectedness." Thank you to everyone that represented CPH and participated in panel discussions, presentations, and papers on various public health topics!
The Citizen Science Soil Sampling Toolkit Empowers Local Citizens
Regarding concerns about possible metals in the environment that may negatively affect health, the “Citizen Science Toolkit” was designed by researchers, including our own Dr. Erin Haynes, to collect soil and allow for large scale mapping of metals like lead and manganese.

Dave Fardo represents UK as an Academic Leadership Academy Fellow
The 2021 Academic Leadership Academy summary on "Teaching Effectiveness at the University of Kentucky: Evaluation Review and Recommendations" reviews current practices for evaluating teaching effectiveness at UK and offers recommendations for improvement.

CPH and Biostatistics got recognized for piloting the midterm teacher course evaluations (TCES) in a recent presentation that was attended by representatives from each college and university in Kentucky.

"See What's Possible in Public Health" Virtual Open House
The "See What's Possible in Public Health Virtual Open House" event invites prospective candidates to learn more about the value of our MHA, MPH and applicable graduate certifications. Candidates will get the right mix of information and inspiration as they hear from faculty, alumni, current students and CPH staff.

IPH Center
The What IPH (if) Seminar Series is hosted by the Center for Innovation in Population Health. Their goal with these series is to present innovative ideas that can apply to the public health space. Matt Southward, Ph.D. - Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Department of Psychology at the University of Kentucky, speaks on "You Could Find Your Ideal Psychotherapy Treatment Before Seeing a Therapist?"
