On Thursday, October 27th, CPH invites all students, faculty, and staff, along with friends and family, to the Public Health Halloween: History and Prevention event. Join us for some ghoulish food, terrifying fun, and an educational public health journey into some of our spooking public health events and prevention methods in our history.

CPH gear and apparel are here to order for a limited time!

At long last, CPH has a storefront for purchasing a limited number of items branded with our logo. From hoodies and t-shirts to work polos, button-up shirts, beanies, ball caps and tumblers. 


The website CLOSES on Friday, October 4th and 10% of your purchase (before taxes/shipping) goes to our SPHA student organization.

Lyman T. Johnson Awards recognize more than 60 alumni, students

Meet Amber Kizewski, first-generation success story

Meet staff member Amber Kizewski, a first-generation graduate. She is the current Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) Project Director at the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center (KIPRC) and is a PhD candidate in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation at the University of Kentucky.

Krys Lynam recognized as a "Future of the Field" by SRAI

Congrats to one of our College Grant Officers, Krys Lynam, in being recognized by The Society of Research Administrators International (SRAI) as a ‘Future of the Field’ at their recent conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. This recognition aims to highlight the up-and-comers of Research Administration demonstrating leadership among their peers and institutions in innovative ways that advance the field.

CPH students are crowned royalty at UK Homecoming

CPH students, Gracelyn Bush, of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Johnny Zelenak II, of Oldham County, Kentucky, were crowned the 2022 University of Kentucky Homecoming queen and king during the halftime ceremonies at the UK vs. Mississippi State Homecoming football game at Kroger Field.

2022 Markesbery Community Symposium

The 12th annual Markesbery Symposium is on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Central Bank Center and via Zoom, is an opportunity to understand and treat Alzheimer's disease and to improve the quality of life of the older adults.


This is named in honor and memory of the late William R. Markesbery, MD, founding Director of the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging and Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
