Woodland School is off to a great start!
Our parents & guardians attended Back to School Night on September 24
and had an opportunity to meet their child's teacher and see their classrooms. The band and choir “zero-period” programs have successfully begun and the Talented & Gifted (TAG) after school programs are scheduled to start on October 2
Grade 4 & 5 Art TAG: Mondays
Grade 5 STEM: Tuesdays
Grade 5 Humanities: Wednesday
Mrs. Newcomb, school counselor, coordinated The Fish! Philosophy with our students. This program builds a supportive relationship with students and practice personal responsibility. The students are already earning “fish” tickets for going out of their way to be kind and respectful to others.
Classes will begin circulating through our STEM lab and using Cubelets, Bloxels, Dash & Dot Robotics and VR (Virtual Robotics) to name just a few.
A Woodland continues to focus on the Whole Child, Ms. Hyer, Woodland School art teacher, has created a mural for students to color, relax, manage stress and anxiety.
