Message from the Mayor

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a terrific holiday season with family and friends.

We're pleased to share with you our first e-newsletter of 2025.

As always, you'll find an array of information below.

One item I hope you'll review is about our Corporate Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Regional Climate Change Mitigation Plan.

The plan contains emission reduction targets that we will work towards meeting through various investments in the coming years.

This includes municipal facility retrofits and the introduction of more electric vehicles for our fleet.

Ultimately, by 2050, our goal is to be a net-zero organization when it comes to greenhouse gas emissions.

On another note, please check out the e-newsletter item about the upcoming Gravenhurst Winter Carnival, which runs Feb. 14-17.

The carnival is a wonderful tradition in our community and we hope that you will join in on the fun.

I look forward to updating you again next month.

Until then, please take care.

Heidi Lorenz,

Mayor.
