In preparation for the start of the new school year and in response to COVID-19, PA schools are required to create a Health and Safety Plan to serve as the guideline for all instructional and non-instructional school reopening activities. The AASD plan has been approved by the AASD Board of Directors and will be modified throughout the year as circumstances warrant. Assistant Superintendent Mr. Brad Hatch serves as the AASD Pandemic Coordinator and oversees the District's efforts.

On Tuesday, July 21 webinars were held for Elementary, Jr. High and High School parents. The webinars provided an overview of the plan and the safety measures being implemented related to the school day; classrooms, transportation, cafeteria services, extra curricular activities. Webinars are available for view on the AltoonaSD YouTube Channel.

A summary of the plan can also be found on the AASD website, click HERE
