This second grade student and his sister sent homemade cards to the Altoona Police Department as part of his community helper assignment. They were both very excited to receive a thank you letter from Chief Freehling and the officers for their kindness.

What a great assignment and thank you to Lucas and his sister for recognizing the Altoona Police Officers.
This first grader from Pleasant Valley Elementary completes her at-home assignments every day with her best friend.
Students are encouraged to join the Counseling Google Classrooms where there is a lot of great resources for college and career planning, social and emotional resources, financial aid, stay-at-home activities, and lots more! Students should contact their school counselor for entry into the classroom.
The Summer Food Program will begin the week of June 8, 2020 with a new format. The Altoona Area School District will replace the current meal delivery program with a program providing meals for multiple days. We are asking for your feedback on how best to provide this service.

Distribution will begin on June 10th with the final distribution July 29th.
