Meet the Teacher Night Schedule
AASD WELCOMES NEW TEACHERS
Altoona Area School District welcomed the addition of 33 new teachers for the 2018-19 school year. Teachers and their mentors participated in a 3-day induction program last week at Pleasant Valley Elementary School. The New Teacher Induction Orientation was a chance for new teachers to meet the administration and learn about AASD and all the policies and procedures needed for new teachers. The 3-day orientation ended with the new staff getting the opportunity to spend time in their classrooms Friday afternoon.
AAHS will offer three opportunities for parents to attend a meeting regarding the 1:1 mobile device distribution for students. Students whose parents attend one of the meetings and who complete the required paperwork will receive their mobile device on the first day of school.

These meetings are not mandatory , but, will assist in the timeliness of device distribution.
