Visa of the Month: E-2 Visa
Did you know that the E-2 visa is not a million-dollar visa?
Kwanzaa and Hanukkah
December is more than just Christmas. Although Hanukkah does not fall in December every year, it is commonly associated with the December holidays. Kwanzaa is also part of the end of the year festivities.
Hanukkah, also spelled Chanukah, is the Jewish eight-day, wintertime “festival of lights”, celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting, special prayers and fried foods. Hanukkah reaffirms the ideals of Judaism and commemorates in particular the rededication of the Second Temple of Jerusalem.

Many modern Jewish families celebrate by lighting the hanukkiah. One candle per night of Hanukkah is lit, like Hebrew is read, from right to left. People might also play dreidel games and eat certain foods like sufganiyot (similar to jelly donuts) and latkes (fried potato pancakes). Both foods are fried in oil, commemorative of the miracle of the Maccabees' long-burning oil.

This year, Hanukkah starts on December 11 and has its last day on December 18.
Kwanzaa is an African-American and pan-African holiday that celebrates family, community and culture. The seven-day culture festival was created in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga, an Africana studies professor.

There are the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa, which are celebrated throughout the seven days: Umoja, unity; Kujichagulia, self-determination; Ujima, collective work and responsibility; Ujamaa, cooperative economics; Nia, purpose; Kuumba, creativity; and Imani, faith.

Black, red and green represent Kwanzaa: black for the people, red for their struggle, and green for the future and hope that comes from their struggle.

Kwanzaa starts on December 26 and ends on January 1.
Christmas Baskets 🎁
We all know that 2020 has disrupted everyday life across the world. Not only non-essential businesses were closed (and in some states, they still are) but millions of people have lost their jobs due to COVID/19. To try and spread some cheer and help those in need, our team at Mubarak Law decide to put together some "Christmas baskets" containing essential food and products.

If you know anyone in need of food, please contact us. We will be happy you give them one of our baskets.
How long do I have to pursue a Personal Injury claim?🚘
In every state, there are time limits for the filing of lawsuits and other civil actions called "statutes of limitations." Under Florida's statute of limitations for personal injury cases, you have four years from the date of the accident to file a lawsuit in Florida's civil courts. You must file a lawsuit within this specific time frame or you may be forever barred from seeking damages. It is important to note that the statute of limitations applies to most, but not all, Florida personal injury cases (such as medical malpractice).

Our client hired the Mubarak Law office for his L-1 visa.
We received the approval for his immigrant visa and finally after much delay, two interviews and requests for evidence, his Green Card was approved!

Congratulations to our client! We wish him the best during his new journey in the United States!
