This holiday season, Meadows families can thank our wonderful teachers and staff through our annual Gift of Thanks program. This is an optional PTA program and an easy way to show your appreciation.

How Gift of Thanks works:

  • Go to the Gift of Thanks link on the Meadows website.
  • Click on the teachers and/or staff members you’d like to gift and enter your contribution amounts. The deadline to contribute is Monday, 12/16 at midnight PT.
  • Then, we combine all the individual contributions for each teacher and staff member.
  • Each teacher and staff member will receive a gift card of their choice based on the directed contributions.

Student Store is this Thursday!

Student Store is Thursday, December 12th for all grades. TK/K students may use SKORR cards only. 1st - 5th grade students may use SKORR cards and/or money for their purchases. Please have all SKORR cards separated into stacks of 10 and stapled.

The Meadows Student Store is a PTA-sponsored program that takes place 4 times a year during the school day. Not only is it fun, but it also teaches students the value of money, encourages good SKORR behavior, and lets them practice their math skills in a “real world” store environment. Students can purchase fun items such as stickers, pens, erasers, figures, small toys, etc….using SKORR cards and/or their own money brought from home. Items at the Student Store are priced between 1 SKORR card/$.10 and 20 SKORR cards/$2.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Student Store, please click below, and note there are new volunteer requirements (including TB tests and Live Scan clearance).

Volunteer Spotlight

We are excited to shine our spotlight on Katie Donahue, the party planner extraordinaire behind this year’s unforgettable Parent Party! Katie truly brought the house down with her outstanding planning and coordination. From selecting the venue to ensuring every detail was in place, she made sure the night was a huge hit. Katie also made sure the silent auction was full of incredible items, from exclusive experiences to one-of-a-kind treasures, all of which helped us raise funds to support our Meadows PTA. Parents had a fantastic time letting loose and supporting our school! Thank you for making this such a memorable event for our parents! Special thanks to Heather Bobo, Eunie Cho, Jennifer Gerjarusak, Kim Pasquali, Jillian Robertson, Courtney Schkud, and Diana Vranicar who helped Katie make the magic happen.

Do you know a volunteer who deserves a shout out? Nominate them for our next Volunteer Spotlight.

The 1st Manhattan Beach Elementary School Charity Baseball Tournament will take place Saturday, January 11th and Sunday, January 12th at Marine Sports Complex. All skill levels welcome. Teams will be co-ed and we are hoping to have a 3rd grade team, a 4th grade team and a 5th grade team from Meadows!

No Parking!!!

Please do not park in the PTA Parent Party winner parking spot on 12th Street. This parking spot was sold in the silent auction at the party in November. Let's be respectful of the family that generously paid a hefty sum for the privilege of parking in that spot. Don't do it. It's not cool. Thanks!
