Skechers Walk Success - Thank You Team Meadows!
A big thank you to everyone who signed up to be a walker or virtual walker for the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk last fall. The 16th annual event raised over $3 million dollars, including $278,263 for the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation (MBEF)! From these funds, Meadows PTA will be receiving $2,985 for registering 199 walkers! This is the first year in a while that the Meadows team has hit the threshold necessary to receive funds. Great work Mustangs! Thank you! And thank you to our team captains, Stephen Hodgson and Jennifer Greene, for championing the effort!

Calling All Mustangs!
Will you help us reach our Read-a-thon Goal? With your help, we've got this!!
Read-A-Thon is underway and we can see our Mustangs reading and raising funds for our school every day. Our registered readers have logged 20.144 minutes of reading and collected 140 sponsors. And, we are 56% of the way to our goal with 7 days remaining.
Prizes are being awarded daily for our top daily readers in the upper and lower grades! If you are registered and have a least one sponsor, and you are eligible for the top reader prizes. . . just remember to have your grown up log your minutes-read and we'll be checking the stats each morning.
Haven't registered yet? It's not too late! Click HERE to REGISTER your reader now! Just follow the link to the Read-A-Thon website and you can register in the matter of minutes. It takes a village, as they say, and we know our Meadows village can be counted on to get us to our goal!
And, have fun reading along the way! Keep it up Mustangs!

Holi Celebration at Meadows
We’re excited to share that Meadows will be hosting its 4th annual Holi celebration on March 26th! Holi, the Indian festival of colors, is a joyful celebration of friendship, love, happiness, and togetherness. It marks the arrival of spring and is a time for fun and festivity. Join us after school at 1:40 PM for a special treat! The founder of BollyPop dance will be leading an exciting Indian dance workshop for all students. Afterward, we’ll continue the Holi tradition by playing with non-toxic colors—a favorite activity for both kids and adults! Everyone is welcome to stay and participate, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Please RSVP here to let us know you're coming.
Important Notes: While Holi colors are washable, they may stain, so please avoid wearing fancy or favorite clothes. Dressing in white is encouraged (but optional!) to fully embrace the colorful experience! Spectators are welcome! A big thank you to the PTA for sponsoring this wonderful event! We can't wait to celebrate with you!

As a Room Parent and YAA Docent she supports teachers, organizes activities, and fosters a strong sense of community and creativity within the classroom.
