Why NDEO Membership!
| | |
Dear Melissa,
There are many reasons why dance educators choose to become members of NDEO and renew their membership year after year. Some join for the tangible benefits: discounts on OPDI courses and our National Conference, free access to the latest research and techniques in dance education being published in the Journal of Dance Education or the Dance Education in Practice journal, eligibility to start a chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, and opportunities to connect with fellow dance educators both virtually and in person.
Others recognize that NDEO MEMBERSHIP is about more than tangible benefits; it’s about uniting to make our field stronger. As the leading membership and advocacy organization for dance educators, NDEO supports the diverse ecosystem of dance education. Your NDEO membership allows us to continue to connect the field and provide high quality programs, services, and advocacy that elevate dance education. Behind every advocacy update, webinar, award, scholarship, blog, journal article, course, event, and initiative is a dedicated team working to keep the organization, and dance education as a whole, moving forward.
Perhaps the most powerful reason to maintain your NDEO Membership is that you believe in #DanceEducationforALL and that the field of dance and dance education is worthy of respect, appreciation, and value. A strong membership base is evidence to funders, partners, parents, community members, and policymakers that this field is vital to our students, our communities, and society.
We need you to help the NDEO community grow!
