NEWS
FROM
THE NEST
I hope to see you there!
It seems to be that time of year where I see the Assumption family coming together in support of the same cause- building upon our great school to make it even better! Whether you are inside or out of our building, you will see exciting changes to our school structure. But aside from those building changes, you will see mothers, fathers and students working tirelessly on their days off, after school and evenings to help raise funds for Assumption Catholic School. Who am I talking about? Our Home School Association!
They have given of themselves by seeking out donations for this weekends auction and raffle, asked restaurants throughout the community for donations of food and raised awareness of event to have a full house on Saturday night in the Hall.
So please, support their efforts and come out to support the school we all love and call home! Join us this Saturday, 7-11pm at the Wines & Steins fundraiser, complete with unlimited drinks, food and live music. I have had the pleasure of attending each year and am amazed at all the hard work that goes into this event. It is an evening of fun and fundraising and I hope to see you there!
WE ARE ASSUMPTION!
My best,
Steven J. Santoli
Principal
WE ARE ASSUMPTION
This week we feature, our 2nd Grader Julian who served as Teacher for the Day
(he even wore a tie!) and presented on his home country Ecuador.
FEATURED FACULTY
Congratulations to this week's Featured Faculty-
Mrs. Rosa Ferreira (Kindergarten Teacher and Social Media Manager)
This is a surprise for Mrs. Ferreira as she assists in making these Featured Faculties each week. We had to sneak this one in without her knowing! Mrs. Ferreira works tirelessly each day posting on Social Media for our school-sometimes up to 3 posts a day to ensure Assumption is front and center in the community. Her first and foremost commitment to Assumption is that of her Kindergarten children. She shows love and support of these boys and girls- keeps a creative and hands on classroom each day as well as incorporates our Personalized Learning Model. We thank Mrs. Ferreira- keep up the great work!

Assumption Parent Corner
One of the new features to the News from the Nest newsletter is our Alumni/Parent Corner. Twice a month we will feature a worthy parent/family as well as an Alumnus of Assumption Catholic School. For our first edition, we thought it best to feature our HSA President and Co-chair alongside Kim Monahan of this weekend's Wines & Steins Fundraiser. Cindy gives tirelessly year-round to her son's school all while keeping a constant smile on her face! We thank her for her commitment to our school, for being apart of the family and all she does behind the scenes as well.
We are proud to feature Cindy Doak, mother of 3rd grader, Alex (pictured here with Mr.Rob Doak- a great volunteer as well!)
Thank you Cindy!
