The North Lafourche Conservation, Levee and Drainage District will hold its regular monthly meetings today, Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the NLLD Office in Raceland.

Every individual shall wear a face covering over the nose and mouth when entering the building and social distancing measures will be implemented. 
We ask everyone to comply with the guidelines from the governor’s recent proclamation, No 67-JBE-2021, regarding the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.

PROJECT UPDATES
Jesse Dufrene FDA Levee Improvements
Onshore Materials, LLC has completed the Jesse Dufrene FDA Levee Improvements, which raised four miles of levee height from +4 ft to +7 ft in the Gheens project area. This project is partially reimbursed with GOMESA funding through CPRA.
Natural Gas FDA Levee Improvements
Clark Construction Enterprises, LLC has recently been awarded the construction contract for the Natural Gas FDA Levee Improvements.

This project is the other half of protection for the Gheens community and is also designed to improve levee elevation to 7’. Like Jesse Dufrene, Natural Gas has committed funds available this year (2021) from GOMESA through CPRA.

About the NLLD
The North Lafourche Conservation, Levee, and Drainage District (known as NLLD) was formed in 1992 to provide drainage and flood protection services for the northern portion of Lafourche Parish, including the entire parish north of the Intracoastal Canal.  The District includes over 250 miles of levees and drainage canals, and over 40 pump stations.
