Mary Coe



Dear Parish Family, 

I am writing to let you know that Mary Coe, Director of Children’s Formation, has taken an administrative position at St. Johns, Decatur. Her last day in the office at Nativity will be Thursday, September 21st.  Please join us on October 8^th at the 10:30am service to celebrate Mary and her ministry to Nativity.

Mary Coe has brought a loving and creative spirit to our children's ministry program throughout the 9 years she has been on staff. During her time at Nativity, Mary provided a vibrant Children’s Formation program, began a beautiful Ash Wednesday Children’s Service, and started Nick and Lucy day in Advent. During the pandemic, Mary worked to ensure that our children continued to receive support from Nativity, including delivering VBS to their homes and hosting a drive through Trunk or Treat!

These are just a few examples of the care and creativity that Mary has poured into our Children’s Ministry over the years. Mary leaves us with big shoes to fill! Please join me in thanking Mary Coe for all her efforts and wishing her success in her next role.

In the interim, Madi Bell-Colpack will take on oversight of Children’s Formation with support from several lay leaders in the parish. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns as we begin our search for a new Director of Children’s Ministry.

Youth Update

Week of September 11th-17th

PICKLEBALL! Wednesday, September 13th from 7-9pm at the Sandra Moon Community Center

EYC- Sunday, September 17th from 5-7pm. Dinner provided.

Sunday Service

It was a great day worshipping together on Sunday! As we move to one large service, please be mindful that some of our parishioners may need the closer parking spots. If you are able, please consider leaving those spaces available.

Our 10:30am service will be live streamed in Bibb Chapel for those who may not be comfortable in a larger worship space. A member of the clergy will bring communion to the chapel.
