Programs & Entertainment
Billiards
Monday through Friday starting at 8:30 am.
Bridge
Join us for bridge every Friday from 12 pm until 2 pm. Registration is not required but please be sure to sign in when you arrive.
Cards: Pinochle and Canasta
Join us for cards every Monday and Wednesday from 9 am until 12 pm in the library. Canasta and pinochle are played regularly.
BINGO
Bingo! Tuesdays from 12:30 pm until 2 pm. Please be sure to bring a prize for the prize table. Prizes should have an approximate value of $2 for the regular table and $4 for the special table.
Wii Bowling
Wednesdays from 9 am until 12 pm.

Registration is not required but please be sure to sign in when you arrive.
Easy Singalong
On Mondays from 11 am to 11:30 am join this group led singalong. This half hour event will get you singing and moving all from the comfort of your chair.
Beginner Crochet
On Mondays from 8:30 am until 12 pm come learn how to crochet.
Beginning Line Dancing

This workshop is held on Mondays from 2 pm until 3:30 pm. Participation is free to all center members.
Grief Support
This is intended for individuals who would like to share and receive support amid experiencing difficult loss. Wednesdays at 11 am.

Intro To Sewing - Fashion Sewing
Mondays & Wednesdays, from 10:00 am until 12 pm.

Participants will learn the intricacies of fashion sewing, including tools, fabrics and how to instruction.

This month's project has participants creating Diamond Dotz paintings.

There is a $6 supply and registration fee due at sign up.

Fall Flower Arranging
Thursday, October 6, from 10:00 am until 12 pm.

Presented by the Gibson Island Garden Club

No prior experience is required. All materials will be provided. Please bring a pair or garden shears or pruners if you have them.

Harvest Bingo

In lieu of prizes for the table, please bring 2 non-perishable food items for 1 bingo card or 4 non-perishable (non expired) food items for 2 cards.

Prizes will be provided and light refreshments will be served. All non-perishable foods will be donated to the local Anne Arundel County Food Bank.

Dementia Diagnosis? What Can Advance Care Planning do to Help?
Wednesday, October 19, from 11 am until 12 pm.

According to the Alzheimer’s Association, the number of individuals living with Alzheimer’s in America is projected to more than double by the year 2050. Receiving a dementia diagnosis can be overwhelming, especially trying to understand what it means and find resources to help.

This presentation will provide an overview of a dementia diagnosis (what the term means, types-such as Alzheimer’s disease, and how dementia impacts memories and feelings).

In addition, information regarding the concept of Advance Care Planning will be discussed. Resources and handouts to help with Advance Care Planning and dementia will be provided.

History Lecture: Bromo-Seltzer, Maryland Glass Corp. & the Pasadena Area
Wednesday, October 26, from 10:30 am until 11:30 am.

Join us for a local history lesson presented by Ernie Dimler, Collections Curator of the Bromo-Seltzer Tower in Baltimore. He will be discussing the history of Bromo-Seltzer & the Maryland Glass Corporation, as well as some local history of the Pasadena Area.

Coffee will be served.

Halloween Costume Contest with Musical Entertainment by Retro Rockets

Trick or Treat! Come dressed in your Halloween costume for a chance to win a prize!

Costume competition categories will be: Most Original, Least Recognizable, Best Group/Couple Costume and Best Costume.

Halloween treats will be served.

Following the contest, music will be provided by the Retro Rockets!
