Next year will mark 15 years of the vocational diaconate in Delaware. This ministry has had a profound effect on advocacy and social action ministry in the diocese. The Commission on Ministry (COM) is charged with the task of raising up the baptized for lay and ordained ministry for service. We hope to raise up more deacons to serve in the Episcopal Church here in Delaware. Please watch this video and prayerfully consider if God is calling you or someone you know to begin the journey of discernment for this ministry and follow up with a conversation with your rector. If you have questions, please contact the Rev. Jeffrey Ross, chair of COM at 302.645.8479

The Chrism Oil which will be used to anoint His Majesty King Charles on May 6 has been consecrated in Jerusalem
The idea of creating a new oil for the Coronation was initiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, partly to honor the King’s personal connections with Jerusalem and partly to highlight the links between the Coronation, the Bible and the Holy Land. The ceremony took place in The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, one of the most sacred sites in Christianity. The oil was consecrated by the Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III, and the Anglican Archbishop in Jerusalem, The Most Reverend Hosam Naoum. More information
