On April 27 at the western-themed Episcopal Communicators Conference banquet, held at Camp Allen in the Diocese of Texas, the Episcopal Church in Delaware was awarded five Polly Bond Awards. It is a significant achievement and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire communications team.
The prestigious Polly Bond Awards are highly regarded in the field of Episcopal communications and recognize communicators from parishes, dioceses, cathedrals, and organizations (such as Episcopal News Service, The Living Church, seminaries) across The Episcopal Church. Presented annually, these honors acknowledge excellence in various categories, including print publications, digital media, photography, and audiovisual production, and are independently judged by well-respected, experienced communications professionals outside of the organization's membership.
Effective communication is crucial in sharing the message of the Church, and the efforts of this diocese to communicate in various media and platforms have been recognized and rewarded.
These awards not only celebrate accomplishments but also serve as an inspiration to other churches, dioceses, and organizations to strive for excellence in their communication efforts. It encourages innovation and creativity in sharing the message of The Episcopal Church and its mission to the world.

Fun Fact
Question: Which diocesan bishop was elected after two conventions failed to elect a bishop, and after 27 ballots at a third convention?
Clue: At a time when all convention delegates were men, such was the excitement at the third convention that many delegates brought their wives and daughters with them, and the convention hall was crowded with ladies.

Lambeth Palace has published the Liturgy for the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III at Westminster Abbey on May 6
The theme of the Liturgy is “Called to Serve”. This reflects the commitment that His Majesty will make to serve God and the people, and the decades of public service of The King and The Queen. By longstanding tradition, the Archbishop of Canterbury authorizes a new Liturgy for every Coronation. Commissioned by the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Justin Welby, the new Liturgy is based on ancient texts and ceremonial elements that draw on many centuries of tradition. The Liturgy is focused on the theme of loving service to others, which is central to Christian teaching, and to the character of contemporary Monarchy. The Liturgy is accompanied by a Commentary commissioned by the Archbishop, which explains the Christian meaning and symbolism of the key elements of the service.
