Bishop offers Epiphany Book Study
Beginning January 14
As we approach the Season of Light, Bishop Brown invites you to participate in a special online book study of We Survived the End of the World: Lessons from Native America on Apocalypse and Hope by Bishop Steven Charleston. The book uses apocalypse in the sense of ignorance and complacency coming to an end.
Bishop Brown’s study will take place weekly on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. – 7:15 p.m., beginning January 14 and concluding on March 25. All are welcome to join as we listen for the Spirit’s guidance and reflect together on the lessons this book offers during the Epiphany Season.
Register in advance for this book study, here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the online gathering.
This book study is part of the Racial Justice and Reconciliation Commission’s diocesan-wide initiative encouraging parishes to engage with this timely book. Clergy leading studies of this book at other times are encouraged to share their details with DJ Kiessling at smyrnarector@gmail.com. This information will be published in The Net so others can join.
