MESSAGE FROM

Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS

In my heart at the Martin Luther King Jr. March there is a great joy and a great hope, just to see families together. Blood families, churches, communities to carry on something beautiful and healthy in the midst of many tragedies.

Observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as the dream is alive

Dream. Believe. Unite. Do. The theme of the 36th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commission Interfaith Worship Service, held at St. Gerard’s Church on January 15, was remembered and celebrated by a myriad of faith groups who came together on San Antonio’s East Side to seek the higher ground of compassion and reconciliation. Father Don Willard, CSsR, pastor of St. Gerard’s, welcomed a congregation which filled the pews, and the Praise Dancers of Holy Redeemer Church brought those attendees to their feet with applause following their liturgical performance.
