MESSAGE FROM

Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller, MSpS

As missionary disciples of the risen Lord, you and I are sent out to proclaim the Gospel every day in every place and in every circumstance especially by our actions. We may naturally feel inadequate or perplexed about what we are called and sent to do in Jesus’ name. We are unworthy, weak, limited human beings. But we received the Holy Spirit in baptism and confirmation. The Spirit guides us and helps us discern God’s will for us. Jesus promises the Holy Spirit to His disciples. Then He sends them: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” We share responsibility for building up the kingdom of God a place of justice and peace, mercy and compassion, harmony and unity amidst our diversity. This is not a political agenda. It is not a social agenda. It is at the very heart of being missionary disciples of the risen Lord.
