Did You Know? 
August has many odd week-long observances by different groups. Here's a sampling that I liked:

August 1-7 is "Simplify Your Life Week". I think it might take me a lot longer than a week.

August 7-13 is "Assistance Dog Week". Let's hear it for these canine heroes!

August 10-16 is "Elvis Week". Celebrate with your best hip gyrations!

August 16-19 is "Weird Contest Week". I would welcome suggestions for this one. What kind of weird contest could I have for TT by Merry?

August 25-31 is "Be Kind to Humankind Week". Shouldn't that be every week?
Hostess of the Year Contest
The Tasteful Treasures by Merry Hostess of the Year contest has begun for 2011. Anyone hosting two or more parties  with me between January 1 and December 15, 2011 is eligible! The winner is the hostess with the highest two-party total sales. This year's prize will be a gift basket of toys and lotions worth more than $300. Call me today to book your party!
