The Impact of the Assessment Center

We are incredibly proud that the Assessment Center at Pendleton Place is gaining local and statewide recognition for its accomplishments.
The AC' s efforts to create a collaborative service hub for front-end foster care have been a tremendous success, particularly since the implementation of a Healthy Greenville initiative in June of 2018.

By coordinating comprehensive exams and screenings to families experiencing foster care, the AC contributes to highly individualized plans to strengthen and reunify families. We connect children and their families with the resources needed to aid their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The AC is a critical piece of our progress towards achieving our goal to end the cycle of abuse and neglect. We are grateful to our partners for their contributions to the center's success and look forward to the role our collaborative efforts will play in child welfare efforts in 2019.

Thank You!

We appreciate everyone who helped Pendleton Place create warm memories this holiday season. Volunteers diligently showed up and shared their time with us , patrons gave generously, and the outpouring of support we received from the community was truly incredible.

Blue Hair Campaign

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and our friends at  Switch  are raising awareness about human trafficking with their Blue Hair Campaign! Several stylists at salons in the Greenville area have volunteered to make clip-in blue extensions available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds given to Switch. These include:
  • Tabatha at Glam Salon
  • Sarah at Outlook Salon
  • Megan at Mix Salon
  • Sunshine at Outlook Salon
  • Allison at Boheim Salon
Human trafficking is an issue that significantly overlaps with child welfare and youth homelessness. We hope you will consider making a bold statement for a great cause!
Junior League Partnership

Pendleton Place is proud to be one of the organizations partnering with the Junior League of Greenville as they implement their new Community Impact Strategy. The Junior League recently announced its partnership with four organizations in the Greenville community: Pendleton Place, The Family Effect, Jasmine Road, and  Switch . We are looking forward to the amazing things that will come of this partnership!

Volunteer Spotlight

We think it is amazing that Trinity Lutheran Church regularly visits the girls living at Smith House, bringing warm meals and fun activities in tow! The group recently spent an evening making vision boards with the girls, encouraging them to dream big. In the past, they have participated in bingo night, cooking classes, and making gingerbread houses with the girls.  We  are  incredibly thankful for the way Trinity Lutheran engages with the young ladies in our care!
Our Mission is to keep children safe and support families in crisis through prevention, assessment, and intervention.

Our Vision is a community where children are safe, families are strong, and victims become whole again.
