MUNICIPAL COURT HONORS

Robbinsville Township/Hightstown Borough Court Administrator Carol Gaynor (pictured, left) and Deputy Administrator Hailey Goudie (right) are having a good summer.
Carol was recently elected Vice President of the Mercer County Court Directors and Court Administrators Association. She was sworn in to office during their June 10 meeting and will serve a two-year term.
Hailey, meanwhile, attained her Municipal Court Admin Certification by the State of New Jersey last month!
The joint Robbinsville/Hightstown court was the most productive in terms of case management and flow in the month of May with the lowest backlog percentage in all of Mercer County at 28% (Robbinsville) and 17% (Hightstown).
Comparatively, the County average for backlog that month was 69% with the State average at 74%.
Congratulations Carol and Hailey, and a job very well done by Violations Clerks Mackenzie Stokely and Lora Wozniak!
We appreciate you ladies!
Adult Spotted Lantern Flies are out in full force this month and have even made their way to the beaches. They tend to be seen as large populations in small areas.

Basic insecticides can be used for these localized hatchings are are effective on SLF. The key is reducing the spread from egg masses laid on objects that move, (cars and vehicles) and residents should watch for these egg masses and destroy them. Mercer County is in the quarantine zone and residents should be looking out for these egg masses on their vehicles before taking trips outside the quarantine areas.

Comprehensive Health and PE Community Survey

Robbinsville Public Schools is gathering community feedback on the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) for Comprehensive Health and Physical Education that were published by the Department of Education in June, 2020. The district is mandated by the NJDOE to follow the state approved standards and develop an appropriate curriculum to address these standards.

The survey, available HERE or by clicking the photo above, is meant to gain pertinent information regarding these mandated standards. Your responses are anonymous and no names will be collected or used. Survey closes at 5 PM on August 10, 2022.

The NJDOE has stated that the strongest curriculum is one reflecting the input and expertise of the entire school community, including educators and families. With that being said, Robbinsville Public Schools has identified standards in the areas of "Personal Growth and Development (PGD)", "Pregnancy and Parenting (PP)", and "Social and Sexual Health (SSH)", in which the district would welcome community input on how to best develop curriculum delivery by the end of the specified grade levels (Grades 2, 5, 8 & 12) as determined by the NJDOE. For your convenience and reference, the links below will take you to the NJDoE website for these standards.
