Dear Friend,

This is a moment we have been working toward, and it is finally here. Last week, the construction bid was awarded, and the Library is preparing to move! The renovation that this community is making possible is about to begin.

We Have a Contractor: Construction is Happening Soon!

Exciting news: the Walla Walla City Council officially awarded the construction bid for the library renovation to Banlin Construction, a Kennewick-based firm. As we shared last month, the first round of bidding resulted in only one bid that was over the project budget. A second call for bids resulted in five submissions all within budget, with Banlin Construction submitting the most competitive proposal. We’re thrilled to be moving forward, and construction is about to begin this summer!

The Library is Moving to Our Temporary Home

You're Invited to Make Your Mark on Saturday June 6th

Join us to Make Your Mark on Saturday, June 6th from 10am–3pm at the Library's current location at 238 E. Alder Street. Everyone who has made a donation to The Next Chapter Campaign – or makes one that day – can sign the walls before they are drywalled over as part of the renovation. Your name, your message, your mark will be sealed inside the building you helped create, for generations to come.
