Greetings,
The beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year quickly approaches, and the excitement and energy can be felt across campus.
Campus News
We already have welcomed over 100 students to campus, and we look forward to seeing more faces—both new and familiar—in a few short days. All students are invited to come together for a welcome cookout on Sunday, August 20, and classes will begin on Monday, August 21. We wish all our students, faculty, and staff a wonderful year ahead!
Strategic Plan Progress
As you may recall from previous presidential updates, we are well on our way through a five-phase plan for the future of Clarke University.
The end of Phase 2 of this plan was marked with the completed draft of the strategic plan being sent to the board of trustees, faculty, and staff, so that additional members of our community can provide feedback. We intend to finalize this draft at the end of this month, right before we celebrate the end of Phase 2 and the official launch of Phase 3!
One element of Phase 3, our Financial Review and Facilities Modernization Project, has already begun. The HVAC work is nearing completion in Catherine Byrne Hall, and updates in Mary Benedict Hall and Eliza Kelly Hall will soon be finished.
We have made extensive positive improvements through an inclusive and collaborative strategic planning and implementation process. These successes would not have been possible without the outpouring of support we have received. Your dedication and commitment to our mission, vision, and values make a distinctly Clarke education possible. Thank you!
Go Pride!
Fletch
