From the Editor's Desk

In this edition of our monthly e-newsletter we discuss a way to help ex-felons obtain jobs, avoid relapse, and allow them to integrate in society in a positive manner; L.A is considering to propose a law that will bar employers from asking applicants for their criminal history on applications.

A new California law that takes effect January 1, 2017 would require drivers who participate with a Transportation Network Company (TNC) like Uber or Lyft to have criminal background check.

Finally, our tip of the month addresses the new I-9 Form employers must start implementing in January.

Please forward our e-newsletter to friends and colleagues who may benefit from our published information.

Sincerely,

Cody Farzad,
Vice President/Editor
