The BeGrateful Challenge invites you to write down three things you are grateful for each day. By the end of the month, you will have a list of 90 different things that you are thankful for. It will only take a minute and can improve your physical and mental health, and will even help you sleep better. Keep a journal or make notes on your phone. Give it a try and see what this simple habit can do for you. To complete the challenge, track 90 things you’re thankful for. NuAxis Bereavement Policy

We have taken into consideration the personal needs that arise from the death of an immediate family member. You will be allowed leave for up to three days with full pay until and including the day of the funeral. Should you wish to attend a funeral that requires significant out-of-town travel (over 500 miles from your home), you may request an extension to the standard three-day bereavement leave of up to two days of paid leave.

Funeral leave pay will not be granted to employees attending a funeral during periods when, for other reasons, they are not at work, such as vacation, holidays, and illness.

Immediate family is understood to include father, mother, step-parents, spouse, domestic partner, child, step-child, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and grandparents.

Employee Referral Bonus Award Program

An award program has been established to encourage our present staff to refer quality people to our organization. If the referral is hired, the staff member that referred will receive a $1,500.00 award if all criteria in the policy are met. In order to qualify for the award program, a current employee should be listed as the "source" in the candidate's application for the open position.

Referrals are valid for 12 months. In the event multiple people refer the same individual, Human Resources will review the situation to determine who qualifies to receive the award. Generally, the employee's name mentioned in the application would qualify for the incentive.

Referral candidates cannot already be recommended through a recruiter.

The award will be paid after the referred employee has been actively employed for 6 months. Both the new employee and the individual who made the recommendation must be active employees at the time the award is paid.
