Healthy Merits and HealthJoy Registration

If you do not register with BOTH portals, you will be moved from an ENGAGED employee to a NON-ENGAGED employee and will be seeing an increase of $50 per month for your medical benefit deduction starting February 28th, 2025

As part of our commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and controlling healthcare costs, we are now requiring all employees enrolled in a NuAxis Medical plan to actively engage in our wellness program. In the coming months, you will be required to do additional wellness activities to maintain the discounted benefits rates. These rates are designed to reward proactive engagement in health and wellness, offering significant savings compared to the standard benefits rates.


If you are not yet registered on both portals, your deadline to do so is February 28th, 2025. After this deadline, you will be moved to the standard rate which will be $50 more per month starting from the first paycheck in April 2025. Deadlines for new hires are listed in the benefits guide and the instructions to register are given below.

Health Joys is the first stop for all your healthcare needs! It is provided free of cost to provide you with 24/7 access to FREE telemedicine, healthcare concierge services, in-network provider recommendations, appointment booking, find extra savings on bills and much more! For the upcoming plan year, NuAxis is offering an enhanced version of HealthJoy with many new features including Teledoc General Medicine and Behavioral health, virtual primary care, virtual exercise therapy to address back and joint pain and Chronic Care Management!

Healthy Merits Registration - Earn up to $200 from the Rewards Mall!


To get started with your Healthy Merits Wellness Program, you must first register for your new Healthy Merits wellness website. Register using the information exactly as it appears on your Meritain Health medical ID Card. If you have a middle name or initial on the ID card, enter that on the first name box. Your unique ID is your Member ID.


Once all your information has been entered, click on register. You will then receive an activation link in your email - please ensure to activate your account using that link.

Jury Duty & Court Subpoenaed Absences

If you are called to perform jury duty, or subpoenaed to court as a result of legal action which you did not initiate and which is clearly out of your control, you must provide a copy of the summons to your manager immediately upon receipt.


While on jury duty, you will receive your normal compensation for up to 40 hours. If 4 or more hours remain in the workday following jury duty, you should return to work and complete the remainder of your workday, except where otherwise prohibited by applicable state law.


If you initiate legal action resulting in a subpoena for your appearance in court, you must charge the period of leave to PTO or Leave Without Pay.


Jury absence will be noted on your time sheet or time card. Time spent on jury duty will not be counted as hours worked for the purpose of computing overtime pay. You will be required to furnish your supervisor with evidence of having served on a jury for the time claimed.

Employee Referral Bonus Award Program 

An award program has been established to encourage our present staff to refer quality people to our organization. If the referral is hired, the staff member that referred will receive a $1,500.00 award if all criteria in the policy are met. In order to qualify for the award program, a current employee should be listed as the "source" in the candidate's application for the open position.


Referrals are valid for 12 months. In the event multiple people refer the same individual, Human Resources will review the situation to determine who qualifies to receive the award. Generally, the employee's name mentioned in the application would qualify for the incentive.

Referral candidates cannot already be recommended through a recruiter.


The award will be paid after the referred employee has been actively employed for 6 months. Both the new employee and the individual who made the recommendation must be active employees at the time the award is paid.
