Time Card Policy

Accurate timekeeping is essential to ensure correct paychecks and compliance with labor regulations. Please remember:

  • Daily Recording- All employees must log their hours worked each day in the electronic timesheet.
  • Overtime Rules-
  • Non-exempt employees: All overtime must be pre-approved by management and recorded in your timesheet.
  • Exempt employees: Extra hours are generally not compensated unless advance approval is obtained from your Program/Project Manager, corporate counterpart, and the client.
  • Approvers- Time Approvers are responsible for ensuring their team members complete timesheets daily.
  • Accuracy & Accountability- Employees must submit their own timesheets. Falsifying or recording time for others can result in disciplinary action, including dismissal.
  • Consequences- Late or inaccurate timesheets may delay pay, lead to corrective action, and potentially result in termination for repeated violations.

Submitting your timesheet each day confirms the accuracy of your reported hours. Help us help you stay on top of your timesheets!

About Anxiety

Anxiety is a normal response to stress. When it becomes constant or overwhelming, it may signal an anxiety disorder, one of the most common mental health conditions. Types include generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety, and more. Causes often involve a mix of stress, trauma, genetics, brain chemistry, or medical conditions.

The good news: anxiety can be managed. Treatment may include therapy, medication, or both, along with self-care strategies like regular exercise, relaxation techniques, good sleep, and limiting caffeine. Recognizing the signs and seeking support can make a big difference in maintaining overall well-being.

Emotional Eating: What You Should Know

Emotional eating occurs when we reach for food to cope with stress, sadness, boredom, or other strong emotions. While it can provide short-term comfort, it often doesn’t address the real issue and may leave us feeling guilty afterward. Common triggers include life stress, relationship struggles, and difficulty managing emotions.

The key to breaking the cycle is awareness, pausing to recognize whether you’re truly hungry or responding to emotions, and exploring healthier coping strategies. By approaching the habit with curiosity rather than judgment, it’s possible to build more balanced routines and stronger overall well-being.

BOOK RECOMMENDATION

"Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World"

In Digital Minimalism, Cal Newport argues that technology should serve our values, not dominate them. He encourages readers to step back from constant digital noise and evaluate which tools truly add value to their lives. Central to his approach is a 30-day “digital declutter,” during which optional technologies are set aside and then reintroduced with clear intention. Newport emphasizes that less is often more: reducing clutter, using tech purposefully, and making room for solitude and real-world connections can restore focus, satisfaction, and balance in both work and life.
