December 5 is our day to express thanks and gratitude for our volunteers, who serve as Local Outreach Committee (LOC) members. Across Ontario these representatives help to inform workers about OHCOW services, distribute our resources, and more! Thank you volunteers, we could not do it without you!

Elimination of Violence Against Women

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence (GBV) is an annual international campaign, occurring from November 25 to December 10. This campaign began in 1991 to call out and speak up against gender-based violence (GBV), and to renew our commitment to ending violence against women, girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ communities.

December 6: We Will Not Forget

December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. On this day in 1989, fourteen women were murdered at their university, École Polytechnique de Montréal.
