Oceanside Harbor Dredge to Begin

The 2025 dredge is expected to start mobilizing on April 7 and the dredging will begin about April 15. The average amount of sand dredged and placed onto Oceanside beaches annually is typically between 200,000 and 300,000 cubic yards. You'll see heavy equipment during this operation, along with large pipe and bulldozers. Please use caution in and around the project. Harbor Lot #12 will be closed during this work for equipment. Tourism Supports Sand and Community

Ensuring that tourism gives back to the Oceanside community is a key pillar of Visit Oceanside’s Sustainable Tourism Master Plan. Even small efforts create big impact— like the partnership with Kind Traveler, which has raised over $14,000 in eight months. These funds contribute to Oceanside’s beach sand nourishment efforts as well as food education through community gardens and free cooking classes. Taking place this month, VO continues to partner with IRONMAN’s Iron Kids Race  to raise funds for youth sports and recreation scholarships.
