Details | | | | Wave Testing Shapes RE:BEACH | The City of Oceanside is testing its major coastal restoration pilot project called RE:BEACH, which aims to restore and protect our shoreline using an artificial reef, two constructed headlands, and added sand. The physical model is being used to study how waves, currents, and sand move around these structures. The City Council will hold a workshop Wednesday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. to review how Oceanside plans and funds its major capital projects: roads, parks, public safety, infrastructure, and more. In partnership with the Friends of El Corazon, the City is converting an existing service road into a public trail.
