City Leaders in Washington this Week

Oceanside leaders traveled to Washington, D.C. this week to advocate for critical funding and support for projects that directly impact our community's safety, environment, and economy. The delegation met with federal legislators and various agency officials to discuss key priorities, including the San Luis Rey River Flood Protection Project, coastal efforts, including crucial beach sand replenishment and Harbor dredging maintenance, as well as funding for the historic white concrete Pier Bridge reconstruction, among others.

Oceanside Pier Update

The fire-damaged area at the far west section of the Pier has been removed, and crews have restriped and reopened adjacent Lot 29, which had been closed for staging equipment. The next step to rebuild the Pier's end is obtaining several needed permits. Additionally, over 100 engraved rails in the burn area survived the blaze and were removed and saved. If your family had a name engraved at the very end of the Pier, please get in touch. More information
