Inland Rail Trail Project

The planning process has kicked off for the final segment of the Oceanside Inland Rail Trail Project. This effort will complete the 21-mile multi-use path along the Sprinter rail line that will connect the cities of Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, and Escondido. 'Coffee with a Cop' Oct. 2

Have 'Coffee with a Cop' on Wednesday, October 2 between 8-10AM at Captain's Grounds Coffee in South Oceanside. These regular events are a great opportunity to address your concerns and get to know your neighborhood officers in a relaxed environment. Stop by! Details

Find RE:BEACH Team at Pop-Ups

The RE:BEACH project team has been engaging with residents at a variety of events. Stop by to discuss the future location of the RE:BEACH project at the Oceanside Museum of Art Exhibition Celebration on October 5 from 5-7PM and at the Oceanside Farmers' Market on October 10 from 9AM-1PM. The City Council will meet November 13 at 5PM to discuss the results of the RE:BEACH Siting Analysis and a recommended layout of the pilot project.

Fire Department Open House Oct. 12

Join us Saturday, October 12 between 9AM and noon for the Fire Department Open House at the Fire Training Center (110 Jones Road). Get an up-close look at equipment, view live demonstrations, get hands-on training, and meet dedicated public safety personnel. Check out the state-of-the-art Fire Training Tower. Bring the whole family, there's something for all ages.

City Council Meetings

The next regular Council meetings take place at 5PM on October 9 and October 23, 2024. The Council meetings are shown live on KOCT, via KOCT's website, and on Zoom (Zoom link is on the agenda). Past meetings may be viewed on the City's You Tube channel. Review the agenda and minutes to read about the issues the Council is addressing. Oceanside Unified School District Update

Beginning in June 2025, Oceanside Unified School District high school graduation ceremonies for El Camino, Oceanside, and Surfside will be held at the brand new Frontwave Arena. This move not only enhances the graduation experience but also saves taxpayers more than ten thousand dollars, thanks to a generous discount provided by Frontwave Arena.
