The Strand (South) Resurfacing to Begin
|
Measure X is funding road repairs on S.The Strand from Seagaze Street south to Wisconsin Avenue. The work will occur from mid-March through May, while avoiding the IRONMAN 70.3 event and Memorial Day weekend. This work differs from other overlays of asphalt on asphalt because more effort is needed to grind and smooth the existing harder concrete surface in preparation for new asphalt. Residents will have full access to homes and The Strand will remain open to vehicle and pedestrian through traffic, however some delay should be expected on the busiest working days.
