Vote In The Section Election Electronic Balloting Opens November 1

Our annual Section Election kicks off November 1. All AWWA members will be sent an email invitation to vote via electronic ballot. Members will be asked to enter their email and last name which will be verified against the AWWA member database. Utility Management Committee January 2022 Training Financial and Workforce Sustainability - Mark Your Calendars!

Plan to attend the Utility Management Committee (UMC) 2022 Conference scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 27, at the Vancouver Water Resources Education Center, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The theme is “Financial and Workforce Sustainability” and will feature presentations on: ·       Water Rates ·       Water Infrastructure Funding ·       Leadership Training ·       Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) ·       Succession Planning ·       A Water Operator Internship Program  Be on the lookout for the final program including speakers and CEUs, a registration link, and a follow up networking event at a local pub.   For more information and to inquire about scholarships please contact Ann Hajnosz or Kim Reid .

2022 Excellence in Engineering Awards Call for Entries!

Submit your entry for the 2022 Excellence in Engineering Awards. These awards recognize excellence in engineering for water supply, treatment, or conveyance projects. Persons, agencies, consultants, contractors, and water utilities who have recently or will be completing a water supply, treatment, or conveyance project for a water supply utility or agency in Idaho, Oregon or Washington may apply. To be considered for the 2022 Awards, the Committee will be looking for outstanding water related engineering projects which have shown: Incorporation of innovative technologies or approaches Difficulty of the challenges overcome Inclusion of sustainability elements (includes resource sustainability or cost effectiveness) Considerations for system or project resiliency (seismic, flood, system redundancy, etc.)  Please feel free to nominate one of your Projects or someone else's that you feel is deserving of an Award. Entry deadline is January 14.
