October 2021 e-Grapevine
Trustees Corner
We know everyone is happy to see the orange barrels and road construction projects wrapping up as we enter fall. We want to thank all residents for their patience and cooperation throughout the construction. The crews did a fantastic job and the widening of Crile road was well worth the wait.
We are gearing up for fall activities including the opening of our pickle ball courts. A few materials delays did set the timing back a bit, but the fence should be up by October 11th, with our official opening set for 10/15. Follow us on Facebook for details.

If you haven’t already checked out the Fall Class Schedule, our Recreation Department has put together a wonderful variety of classes for all ages and interests.

We hope you received your copy of the Fall 2021 Grapevine in the mail. In it, you will find updates from each department along with important information and events. If you didn’t receive it, please email the Recreation Department at Recreaton@concordtwp.com

National Fallen Firefighters Memorial
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation was created by Congress to lead a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters. The Foundation provides supportive outreach programs to families of fallen firefighters, assistance to fire departments experiencing a line of duty death, and extensive training opportunities including courses on community risk reduction, firefighter behavioral health and line of duty death prevention.

Each October the Foundation sponsors the official national tribute to all firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year. The 40th annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend is being held October 2-3, on the grounds of the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Families of fallen firefighters join firefighters from across the nation to honor their loved ones and fellow firefighters. A weekend of activities culminates on Sunday, during a memorial service held at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Park. To learn more about the weekend visit: https://www.firehero.org/events/memorial-weekend/.

Light the Night  One way you can join in honoring our fallen heroes this weekend is to participate in Light the Night. Light up your home with a red light through October 3. https://www.firehero.org/events/memorial-weekend/about/light-night-fallen-firefighters/
