This interview is with Todd Glickman. Todd is a meteorologist whose weather reports can be heard on WCBS Newsradio 880 in New York City and internationally at radio.com. Todd attended MIT and received the S.B. degree with a major in Earth and Planetary Sciences in 1977. He works today at MIT as Senior Director Corporate Relations.

Osterville Village Library introduces our newest staff member, Nina Hoey

Nina comes to us from DeWill Clinton High School in the Bronx, NYC where she taught social studies after completing 3 years teaching in the Worcester Public Schools system. She holds a Masters of Art in Teaching as well as her Bachelors of Art degree from Clark University. She is certified in History, English and Music; has AP Government training and a Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement from Clark University.

Udemy: Udemy's mission is to improve lives through learning. Over 4000 online video courses feature an extensive, multi-language library, which includes thousands of courses taught by expert instructors. You can take courses across a wide range of categories, some of which include: business & entrepreneurship, programming, academics, the arts, health & fitness, language, music and much more!
In the Library: We have many rooms that offer a safe space for study and work time. Seating is arranged to accommodate physical distancing requirements. We have wifi and available computers plus, we are open 7 days a week.
Meet Nina Hoey, our newest staff member. In addition to performing circulation services, she will be involved with helping OVL fulfill its vision of bringing more educational support to families and students as they navigate the new paths various schools and educational institutions are taking to resume classes in the fall.

We are adding resources and space to assist parents, home-schoolers and caregivers adjust and help educate in K-12.

The tournament will proceed as follows:

Upon receipt of your paid golf foursomes, you will receive a certificate (with instructions) for a round of golf at the beautiful Ridge Club in Sandwich. Payments are due no later than September 1st.

Upon receipt of your certificate, simply call the Ridge Club and choose a time when your foursome will be scheduled to play - you can choose any time after 1:00 p.m. on any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between September 15^th and October 29^th to play 1 round/18 holes with carts.

But you must call the Ridge Club before August 31^stto reserve your foursomes time!

A box lunch and water will be included, as well as a sleeve of Ridge Club balls and 4 carts for your foursome if current distancing restrictions are still in effect. If current restrictions ease and more than 1 person per cart is allowed, the appropriate number of carts will be available to accommodate you.

Send us your tee time and score as prizes will still be awarded.

Introduction to SoulCollage®

Workshop -- Online

Kit Irwin, a SoulCollage® facilitator, will lead you through exercises and explain a little bit of the philosophy behind SoulCollage®. Due to these turbulent times, there is a suggested $20 fee for the workshop but please pay only as much as you can afford.

Materials you should have ready to use for the workshop:

Scissors
Glue stick
Card backings – these are 5 X 8” mat boards that you will collage on top of. If you don’t have mat board, you can cut up a cereal box, use watercolor paper, or even cut up file folders (though these might feel flimsy).
Images to use for collage. These can be from magazines, books, photos, printed images, calendars. Don’t forget junk mail. You can even use something you’ve drawn. The images should include ones of people, animals, and ones that are large enough to use as a background.

The class will be held on Zoom. A link and password will be sent out the day before the workshop.
