At the Oklahoma Autism Network, it has always been our mission to improve the quality of life for all individuals with autism and their families.
Our programs focus on goals addressing early identification, evidence based interventions from diagnosis through adulthood, increasing access to services across Oklahoma, family supports, and building the capacity of communities to meet the needs of their citizens with ASD. The Oklahoma Autism Network team works in collaboration with other agencies, organizations, families and professionals to achieve these goals.
We know that racial disparities exist in the identification and treatment for individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
As the states resource and referral system, we are listening to and learning from the members of our community who shared their experiences. We welcome and invite an ongoing dialogue as we continue to plan to help bridge gaps in the system and assist in building community capacity and system change. As an organization, w
e are having conversations about our next steps to continue to better serve our communities.
As part of a member of the community who may have unique experiences navigating autism and diversity, we kindly invite you to share with us your experiences and look forward to strengthening our community partnerships to better meet the needs of those that are under served.
