Where the real conversation begins

Don’t Just Attend, Position Yourself
Rolling Loud and BET Weekend are more than just events. They’re high-level opportunities. The artists who benefit the most aren’t the ones who decide to show up last minute. They’re the ones who plan ahead.
If you’re serious about growth, your strategy should already be in motion. That means locking in press, securing interviews, mapping out your content capture, and being intentional about who you need to connect with before you even step into the room.
Visibility doesn’t start when you arrive. It starts with how you prepare.
As we move deeper into Q2, this is your reminder: don’t just attend, but position yourself.
Need help getting in position?
Press, interviews, platform placement, and strategic rollout support are available now through Veiga Entertainment. Start building your visibility before the moment arrives.

Editor's Note
As we step into the second quarter of 2026, we’re entering a season of elevation, visibility, and execution. This is the time where preparation meets opportunity. The artists, DJs, and creatives who have been building are now stepping into their moment.
This week, we’re spotlighting a DJ who continues to move the culture forward, highlighting the importance of those who control the sound, set the tone, and create the experience behind the scenes.
| | | |
We’re also launching a new mini-series featuring artists who attended SXSW. While I wasn’t on the ground this year, the impact of SXSW reaches far beyond the city limits. This series is about amplifying those experiences, sharing insights, and giving artists a platform to extend their visibility beyond the stage.
Our Wellness Beyond the Stage series with Dr. Lisa continues with its second feature, serving as a reminder that success in this industry isn’t just about the grind, but about sustainability, balance, and showing up as your best self.
As we move deeper into the quarter, major moments in music and culture are approaching. Be sure to keep your eyes on:
- Rolling Loud | May 8–10
- BET Weekend | June 11–15
These aren’t just events. They’re opportunities for exposure, networking, and growth. Stay intentional. Stay visible. And most importantly, stay ready.

When asked about an influence that might surprise people, DJ Nikki points to legendary rapper Nas, a choice that speaks volumes. Known for storytelling, authenticity, and timeless impact, Nas represents represents legacy. That same depth translates into Nikki’s approach, every set curated, every transition purposeful.
She describes her sound in three words:
Precision. Power. Presence. It’s an experience.

Growing With the Culture
In today’s digital era, DJs are no longer just performers. They are brands and community builders. For DJ Nikki, social media has strengthened her connection with her audience in a real way.
"Knowing I have true supporters and fans that inspire me to grow stronger and better during my DJ journey."
That connection fuels her consistency and growth.
Beyond the Booth
If music wasn’t the path, creativity still would be. DJ Nikki shares she’d pursue modeling, sports commentary, or photography, all fields that align with her eye for detail, confidence, and storytelling ability.
A Moment That Matters
Every journey has defining milestones. For DJ Nikki:
2x Award-Winning DJ of the Year
DMV Artists MAMMA Awards (2024 & 2025)
This moment represents more than recognition, it reflects dedication, growth, and impact within the DMV music scene.
The Deejay Nikki Effect

Peace Be Still
In a world that constantly pushes performance and productivity, true wellness requires something deeper. It requires alignment. Not just within ourselves, but with the environment around us.
The pursuit of wellness has paradoxically become a source of stress for the environment. In a world fraught with wars, social unrest, and climate anxiety, the demand for “wellness”—ranging from exotic superfoods and resource-intensive retreats to endless personal care products—often contributes to habitat destruction, high water consumption, and significant carbon emissions.
| | | | |
"The pursuit of wellness has paradoxically become a source of stress for the environment.”
To find peace, we must align our personal well-being with environmental sustainability. This means transforming our habits into “regenerative” acts that restore the planet.
• Support Local: Choose local, sustainable wellness practices over imported, high-footprint alternatives.
• Practice Compassion: Practice kindness toward yourself and others, recognizing that everyone is weathering a storm.
• Gratitude in Chaos: Shifting focus to gratitude, even for small things, can build resilience and enhance mental health during crises.
True wellness is not about purchasing personal optimization; it is about restoring harmony between our inner selves and the environment we inhabit.
Because real wellness isn't about keeping up with trends. It's about creating balance that actually lasts.

Beyond The Scenes: SXSW Recap Series
What really happens beyond the stage?
In this special series, we tap in with artists who experienced SXSW firsthand, bringing you real stories, moments, and insight from one of the biggest stages in music and culture.
First up, Wally-B takes us inside his SXSW journey, from performances and networking to the energy, opportunities, and lessons that come with being in the room.
Because sometimes, what happens behind the scenes is what truly moves the culture forward.
| | SXSW 2026 Recap by Wally-B | | | | |
SXSW 2026: The 6th Chapter
Six years into the Austin circuit, and the hustle still hits different. This year wasn’t just about the showcase. It was about the road. We turned the trek into a multi-city run, hitting stages in Petersburg, ATL, and Houston before locking in our destination at SXSW.
| | | |
The Grind & The Grit
Independent life isn't for the weak. There was one night where sleep wasn't even on the table. It was just miles of highway and pure focus to make the next city. That "no-sleep" energy followed us right onto the stage, proving that the work happens long before the lights come on.
The Network: 140+ Connections
Austin was a massive win for the network. I locked in with over 140 industry movers, from DJs and A&Rs to the promoters keeping the independent scene alive.
Familiar Faces
Always a vibe catching up with Ziggy Zoe and Miss Gudda.
The Next Wave: It was an honor helping Kokka navigate her first-ever performance. Helping her sharpen that stage presence and own the room was a major highlight of the trip.
The Feedback
Dropping new music for a fresh audience is the ultimate litmus test. The response was heavy—seeing a new crowd connect with the new records confirms that the sound is evolving exactly how it should.
The Takeaway
It’s about more than the setlist. It’s the miles you put in and the people you build with along the way.
