Tommy Austin, Make-A-Wish
®
Co-founder, Talks About the Wish that Became a Movement
|
|
Tommy Austin and his wife Kay are considered the original wish granters for their roles in helping 7-year-old Chris Greicius be a police officer “to catch bad guys” with Austin. That compassionate gesture to a dying boy proved to be
the roots of Make-A-Wish®.
The Austins are the featured guests at the Make-A-Wish® Northeast New York annual Wish Gala, dubbed
The Year of the Wish Granter.
We asked Tommy Austin to reflect on Chris' wish, and his continued involvement with Make-A-Wish.

Teamwork Created a Lifetime Memory for All
Tiago’s wish
, highlighted above, is one of the finest examples of inter-chapter cooperation that makes a child’s wish as amazing and magical as it can possibly be. We are proud to have helped our Southern Florida Chapter give Tiago and his family a wish experience they will treasure always.
We are blessed to have a great team of Trustees, staff, and donors in Lake Placid who really went all out to give Tiago a stellar Northeast New York wish experience.
Sincerely,
William C. Trigg, III, CEO, Make-A-Wish Northeast New York
