Case Study: Decreasing Medication-Related Adverse Events
NN is a 65-year-old male with a past medical history of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), neuropathy, depression, schizoaffective disorder, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and coronary artery disease. His MedWise Risk ScoreTM at the time of medication review was 32 out of 50, which is considered high risk.

The Tabula Rasa HealthCare (TRHC) Precision Pharmacotherapy Research & Development Institute (PPRDI) recently presented a scientific poster at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition in December 2020. The poster summarizes a study on how polypharmacy and altered pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics contribute to adverse drug events (ADEs) in the elderly.

Dana and Kaitlin recently earned Principles and Practice of Hospice and Palliative certificates the first of two they will earn in the University of Maryland-Baltimore’s Master of Palliative Care program. Both Dana and Kaitlin have 4.0 GPAs in the program and are on track to graduate in July. Kudos to Dana and Kaitlin!
