If you suspect abuse or neglect, these cards can help you communicate with a frightened child. 

Did you know that 10-15% of Floridians over age five speak a language other than English at home or speak English less than “very well”? Communication cards are a great tool for EMS agencies, hospitals and EDs to use in caring for children or communicating with the family or caregiver. The cards are also a helpful resource when assessing and treating nonverbal, autistic or non-English speaking patients of all ages.

These online educational modules and case studies assist healthcare providers in determining the difference between accidental and intentional injuries in children.

Mandatory abuse reporting requirements for medical personnel vary by state, but all states impose requirements to some level.
