The PFLP Samidoun & Bernie Farber Support Hassan Diab Who Was Convicted Of Bombing A Synagogue & Killing Jews

*Paris court hands Lebanese-Canadian life term in absentia for 1980 synagogue blast-*

· Hassan Diab sentenced to life imprisonment in absentia by a Paris court for a 1980 synagogue bombing.

· The bombing, which occurred in Rue Copernic in Paris's 16th district, killed four people and injured 46.

· Prosecutors had requested the maximum possible punishment against Diab, the only suspect in the case.

· Diab, now 69 and a university professor in Canada, was sentenced despite his absence from the court.

· The court stated that there was "no possible doubt" that Diab was responsible for the attack.
