Issue 6
Getting on Board
Welcome Back!
"I love to see that light go on when someone realizes that being strong is one of the greatest feelings in the world." -Leigh Cooper Wallace

As one of the founders of Girls on the Run of the High Country, champion ASU Track and Field athlete, mom, coach and WHS teacher, Wallace certainly gained the respect of the entire High Country community and beyond. Tragically losing her battle with pneumonia at the age of 43, Leigh would have encouraged us to find new ways to improve ourselves even in the most difficult circumstances. Following her legacy, please enjoy this weekly newsletter, brought to you by Appalachian's Institute for Health and Human Services. Each issue will be unique and will include information to help combat stress, improve mental health, create training plans and nutritional goals, and provide helpful tips and local resources to stay connected.
