Coming of Age 2015
On Sunday, May 31, three young people of the church completed the 2014-2015 Roots and Wings program with a wonderful Coming of Age service.
Carley Hudson, and
presented their Belief Statements to the congregation. Prior to their speeches, the teens were introduced by their mentors: Tim McElaney
, Tricia Whiffen
, and Julia Dubovy
. The program was co-coordinated by
Farnham who did an excellent job once again
The Coming of Age candidates planned all aspects of the May 31 service including choosing the readings and hymns. During the service, Carley and Emme explained the group's service project and TJ sang "The Rainbow Song" a cappella as the offertory. The service was followed by a celebratory Coffee Hour hosted by Julia and Sandra. We're so proud of all these great kids!
From the Finance Committee
Although regular Sunday services and church school are not in session, the church continues to pay staff and other obligations. We appreciate all efforts to maintain pledge payments through the summer.
Pledge payments should be sent to
First Parish Universalist Church
P.O. Box 284
Stoughton, MA 02072
Please remember to help us out with the annual Summer fundraiser. Drop your loose change in the plastic boxes which were distributed in June. Return the box with your name inside when services resume in September. If you didn't pick up a box, you can still help by using any container you have at home. All contributions are gratefully appreciated.
Sincere thanks for your ongoing support!
