The Palmer Church Office has returned to regular operating hours from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday and 9 AM to 3 PM on Fridays.
LUNCH & LEARN THIS THURSDAY IN A202
Please join us as we welcome Pat Mione back to the Thursday Lunch & Learn on September 6. Pat will be discussing Medicare open enrollment, which is just around the corner. This topic is for anyone who already has Medicare, will be new to Medicare, or is or will be assisting a loved one with Medicare. We're meeting in A202. Bring your questions and your lunch; beverages provided.
WOMEN'S FIRST THURSDAYS ARE BACK!
Join us this Thursday evening for fellowship, food and friends. Women of Palmer will gather to socialize and share a meal followed by a speaker-led discussion of different topics. Drinks will be provided and all are asked to bring an appetizer to share. Our discussion will be "Exploring Genealogy" with Lesley Douthwaite.

GREAT WEDNESDAYS NEXT WEEK
Great Wednesdays resume September 12! Come for the intimate worship service, a delicious meal, and the opportunity to learn something new. Great Wednesday dinner is 5:30-7 PM. The cost is $7.00 for adults and $3.00 children. We are now accepting credit cards! 6-6:30 pm is Healing Holy Eucharist in St. Bede's Chapel and 7-8 PM are classes. We are pleased to announce that the Rev. Gregory Han will be facilitating a six-week teaching series this fall entitled "Having Faith in Houston: World Religions in the Bayou City. FRIDAY DINNER AND DISCUSSION
Our first Friday Dinner & Discussion for the Fall is next week! We will meet Friday, September 14 from 7 to 9:30 PM at the home of Nancy & David Webb (3707 Darcus St., Houston TX 77005). Our program will feature The Rev. David Wantland. Everyone is welcome! Please bring a salad, main dish, or dessert to serve six and $2.50 for beverages. There is no need to RSVP, but if you'd like more information, call Mary Tobin at 713-668-8308.
12 STEP "AL-ANON" MEETINGS AT PALMER
We are excited to announce that we have two new 12 Step "Al-Anon" meetings at Palmer. We have a 12 noon (Brown Bag) meeting on Mondays in Room A101 and a 6 PM (Sunday Seekers) meeting on Sunday night, also in Room A101. All meetings are open so if you have an interest in what 12 step recovery looks like, come on bye. If you have any questions contact Burdette Keeland at [email protected].

JOIN CHOIR FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH
Palmer offers three continuous choirs and one occasional choir for children and youth. Choir teaches collaboration and service, and builds musical skills and focus. Weekly rehearsals take place on Wednesdays in the adult choir room beginning September 12. To join, email Courtney Daniell-Knapp at [email protected].
Cherub Choir (Pre-K 4's & 5's and Kindergarten), 5 - 5:30 PM; St. Nicholas Choir (grades 1 and 2), 5:30 - 6 PM St. Gregory Choir (grades 3 - 8), 6 - 6:45 PM; St. Cecilia Choir (girls grades 9-12) 7 - 8:15 PM.
A new art exhibit "My Soul's in Your Hands" is planned for October 7 - January 13 - All 2D media welcome. Please contact Sherry Byrd at

The last school year was a time of exciting and unprecedented growth at Autry House, our ministry to Rice University, and we need your support more than ever to ensure that Rice students from next door feel loved and served by their closest neighborhood church. We are putting together our schedule of cooks for our Sunday night meals, and we very much hope that you will consider being on our roster. GERMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF HOUSTON
