GREAT WEDNESDAYS BEGINS TODAY
Join us on today for an intimate worship service, a delicious meal and the opportunity to learn something new. 

  • Dinner 5:30 to 7 PM in Parish Hall. $7 for adults, $3 for children. We now accept credit cards!
  • Healing Eucharist, 6 to 6:30 PM in St. Bede's Chapel
  • "Having Faith in Houston: World Religions in the Bayou City," 7 to 8 PM in St. Bede's Chapel, a six-week class offering by the Rev. Gregory Han.

FRIDAY DINNER AND DISCUSSION THIS WEEK     
We will meet this Friday from 7 to 9:30 PM at the home of Nancy & David Webb (3707 Darcus St., Houston TX 77005). Our program will feature The Rev. David Wantland. Everyone is welcome!  Please bring a salad, main dish, or dessert to serve six and $2.50 for beverages. There is no need to RSVP, but if you'd like more information, call Mary Tobin at 713-668-8308.

Upcoming Palmer Events
BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS OCTOBER 6 
Bring your pets to Palmer on Saturday, October 6 at 10 AM for a special blessing from our clergy. We will also be collecting 3lb bags of dry dog or cat food or a cash donation to donate to a Houston area animal shelter. Youth will be collecting donations before and after the services and will then deliver the donations on behalf of the Palmer community.

PALMER ARCHITECTURE TOUR OCTOBER 7
Please join architectural historian and Palmer parishioner Stephen Fox for a brief walking tour focusing on the history and design of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church and its companion, Autry House. There will be two tours, one following the 9 AM and another following the 11 am service. Participants should meet at the front door of the church on Main Street.

12 STEP "AL-ANON" MEETINGS AT PALMER
We are excited to announce that we have two new 12 Step "Al-Anon" meetings at Palmer. We have a 12 noon (Brown Bag) meeting on Mondays in Room A102 and a 6 PM (Sunday Seekers) meeting on Sunday night, also in Room A102. All meetings are open so if you have an interest in what 12 step recovery looks like, come on bye. If you have any questions contact Burdette Keeland at [email protected].

JOIN CHOIR FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH
Palmer offers three continuous choirs and one occasional choir for children and youth.  Choir teaches collaboration and service, and builds musical skills and focus.  Weekly rehearsals take place on Wednesdays in the adult choir room. To join, email Courtney Daniell-Knapp at [email protected]Cherub Choir (Pre-K 4's & 5's and Kindergarten), 5 - 5:30 PM; St. Nicholas Choir (grades 1 and 2), 5:30 - 6 PM St. Gregory Choir (grades 3 - 8), 6 - 6:45 PM; St. Cecilia Choir (girls grades 9-12) 7 - 8:15 PM.

GERMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF HOUSTON
GISH, the German International School of Houston located on the Palmer campus, offers a German-English Dual Language Immersion Preschool Program for children 2 to 5 years of age. Our small program provides time for individual attention, and creates an environment in which relationships can grow and every child feels welcome.  Openings are available for the 2018-2019 school year!!
