JERUSALEM PEACEBUILDERS SERVICE & DINNER
Jerusalem Peacebuilders invites you to a special interfaith event at Palmer Thursday at 6 PM. It will be a program of Jewish, Muslim, and Christian music and readings in the Nave followed by a dinner in the Parish Hall. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit with Jewish, Muslim, and Christian youth from Jerusalem and Houston who have been attending Jerusalem Peacebuilders Camp. DAUGHTERS OF THE KING (DOK) AUGUST MEETING
All Palmer Women Invited! DOK's August meeting will be held on Saturday, August 18, 9-10:30 AM in the Family Room. Arlene Price will present information from the conference she attended in Ireland earlier this year: GROWING, WHILE GROWING OLDER. This is a wonderful source for learning, sharing, and fellowship with other women - and Palmer women of all ages are invited!
FRIDAY DINNER & DISCUSSION PLANNING MEETING
The annual planning meeting for the upcoming year's Friday Dinner and
Discussion gatherings will take place on Saturday August 18 at Joyce
Dutcher's Galveston beach house, 13634 San Domingo in Pirate's Beach,
Beachside. We'll gather at 10 AM, do our planning, and then enjoy
lunch of the salads, main dishes, and desserts we've all brought. All
Palmers are welcome! If you'd like more information, call Mary Tobin

SERVE SUNDAY IS AUGUST 19
Worship together at 10 AM, then head out with a team to share some love and connect with our neighbors at Plant it Forward, Vita-Living, EAC, New Hope Housing, the Beacon, and more . There are ways for everyone to participate.

PALMER END-OF-SUMMER BASH
Come one, Come ALL to our Annual End-of-Summer Bash FOR THE ENTIRE PARISH! This is a great way to kick off the fall season, reconnect with friends you've missed over the summer, meet new friends, and celebrate what it means to be a Palmer! Come out and join the fun on Saturday, August 25 from 4-7 PM at Palmer. Children, youth, and adults of ALL ages are invited! There will be lots of food, fun, and fellowship! Palmer will provide nonalcoholic beverages but you are invited to BYOB if you would like.

The last school year was a time of exciting and unprecedented growth at Autry House, our ministry to Rice University, and we need your support more than ever to ensure that Rice students from next door feel loved and served by their closest neighborhood church. We are putting together our schedule of cooks for our Sunday night meals, and we very much hope that you will consider being on our roster. Sunday services and meals resume August 19 and run through December 2. If you are interested please contact Patrick Hall at

MEDIA MINISTRY SOUND TECH NEEDED
Palmer is in need of someone to work in the sound booth Sunday mornings. This is a paid position and will require the person to be present for all Sunday services. GERMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF HOUSTON
GISH, the German International School of Houston located on the Palmer campus offers a German-English Dual Language Immersion Preschool Program for children two to five years of age. Our small program provides time for individual attention, and creates an environment in which relationships can grow and every child feels welcome.
